Lands of America recently had about $5 billion in land and other rural acreage for sale in the Natural State, which constitutes nearly 494,000 acres of land for sale in Arkansas. Of Arkansas's 75 counties, Benton County had the most land and rural real estate for sale. There were 513 acres of sold land in Arkansas recorded last month through the Lands of America sales program. This reflects a drop in sales activity over data from the previous month. The total value of this sold land and rural real estate was $1 million. Boone County had the most land sales recently in the state. Living up to its nickname as the Natural State, Arkansas is a playground for outdoor enthusiasts of all stripes, from hunters looking to bag wild turkey and deer to birders hoping to spot some (or all) of the state's 400 species of birdsâ€”including the endangered Red-cockaded woodpecker. In terms of its size, Arkansas is the country's 29th-largest state, covering an area of 53,182 square miles (34 million acres). In total, 52,035 square miles of the state is land, while the remaining 1,143 square miles is covered by water. Wildlife species to be found on land for sale in Arkansas include whitetail deer, turkey, ducks, quail, dove, and bear. Anglers have their pick of catfish, bass, walleye, pike, and trout.
